Factsheets
We are starting to move most of our leaflets over into factsheets, looking to make these succinct and clear, and not using too much paper. Below is the first factsheet we have produced to help you when completing your school admissions appeal form. This factsheet should ideally be read alongside the West Sussex County Council information booklet which guides you through the appeals process.

TRANSLATIONS
Below are our most requested leaflets, translated into Bengali, French, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Tamil and Urdu. These can be used by professionals when explaining SEND subjects to parent carers whose first language is not English.
Please note that the dates in brackets denote the time that the leaflet was translated. The leaflets that were translated in 2017 will still be helpful, but may refer to out of date terminology (e.g mention of statements being translated to EHC Plans). Whenever we commission the translation of leaflets, we find out what are the top 5 non-English speaking languages in West Sussex. This information is given to us by the Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service (EMTAS) at West Sussex County Council.
